20 EXAMPLES OF INDOOR RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Recreational activities are usually done for fun and enjoyment. They are done during one’s leisure or free time and they usually are voluntary.
In many cases, recreational sports activities requires no specific rules and regulations, there’s usually no monetary reward and they are usually done among family, friends and colleagues.

Indoor recreational activities as the name implies includes all activities done indoors for fun and enjoyment during one’s leisure time.
One key thing to understand when grouping examples of indoor recreational activities lies in the location the activity takes place. For the activity to be indoor, it should be done in a building or a space which is usually under cover. Indoor recreational activities are usually done at home, in a sheltered facility, or at a specially built sport venue like a gym an arena, or a roofed stadium. It is also important to note that many indoor recreational activities can also be done outdoors.

For the above activities to be categorized as an indoor recreational activity, they must meet the following criteria;
1. They should be done indoors
2. They should be done voluntarily
3. There should be no monetary reward for participation or winning
4. They should be done during one’s free or leisure time
5. The rules can be modified (i.e no specific rules and regulations)
6. They are usually enjoyable, either one wins, ties or losses.
