CONCEPT OF SPORTS

Ademola (2018) defined sports as any activity that uses physical and intellectual capacity done by an individual or between individuals usually following established rules and regulations to establish an outcome which could be a win, loss or draw. It is important to note that sports could be professional (earning a living) or amateur (not earning a living). Sports is usually competitive in nature however, the spirit of fair play is needed in sports as winning at all cost is not encouraged. Sports usually come with some penalties for breaking some of its rules and the worst outcome an athlete can get is a lifetime ban from participating in such sports competitively.
